Experience Summary:

Dr. Jayme A. Sokolow is founder, owner, and president of The Development Source, Inc. a Washington, DC metropolitan area company that helps businesses and other organizations develop proposals, primarily to federal, state, and local government agencies such as the US Department of Defense, Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, and the Department of Energy.  Over the past 20 years, he has been involved in successful proposal efforts totaling more than $50 billion as a Proposal Manager, Volume Manager, Proposal Writer, and Strategist.  Dr. Sokolow has supported over 150 client projects since 1991, primarily for small- and medium-sized businesses.

Highlights:

  • Served as a writer on a multiple-year proposal effort for a company that led to a ten-year, ID/IQ IT services potential $50 billion dollar contract.

  • Managed proposal efforts for many small businesses new to the federal arena which led to their first federal contracts.

  • Managed proposal efforts for companies new to the federal arena which led to GSA certification as authorized suppliers of federal services.

  • Managed proposal efforts for a small 8(a) company that led to the US Department of Defense and Department on the Interior contracts.

  • Managed simultaneous proposal efforts for a small managed services company under very tight deadlines that led to multiple contracts from the US Department of Energy for over $10 million.

  • Served as the Proposal Manager of an in-house small business team that led to a major National Institutes of Health parking service contract.

  • Researched and wrote a White Paper based on interviews with senior federal officials that positioned a large company to bid successfully on a major GSA contract.

  • Provided strategic development and risk management and analysis for small businesses new to the federal contracting arena, helping to enable them to develop highly competitive proposals to federal agencies
